We were lucky enough to talk to hip-hop’s rising star Yelawolf this morning in the warm-up to a string of shows around the country next month. With the release of his new album “Radioactive” on Eminem’s Shady Records, things have been busy for the Alabama native as we had a chance to chat about the usual, including him getting tattooed whilst in the country. Any takers?

I’m happy and relieved that Tattoo Candy 7 is now out in all good newsagents! Every year we receive submissions from hundreds of Australian and New Zealand artists, and every year without fail the level of artistry hit another level. A big thank you to everyone who submitted work,  because without the support of all the great artists included, and also those who may not have made the pages, we wouldn’t be able to create these books. If you are looking for it and cannot find it anywhere, drop an email to sales@tattoosdownunder.com.au and we will do our best to help you get your hands on one!

In the third and final episode of the Freddy Corbin series, we see exclusive footage of Freddy parachuting at the age of 24 and hear the personal, intimate details of his young life and career – from the early days of his drug abuse, to living in Amsterdam’s Red Light District, his brother’s tragic death, and being petrified of starting a family.

Even though it’s still 12 months away, the hype around next years NZ Tattoo & Art Festival in New Plymouth on New Zealand’s North Island is already buzzing. We were lucky enough to attend the convention last year, and I can easily say that it was the most enjoyable tattoo convention I have been to in Australia or New Zealand hands down, and I can only see it growing to become the premier convention for this corner of the globe. With some the worlds most respected names in tattooing confirmed to be attending, it looks like the picturesque seaside town of New Plymouth is again going to turn it on for those who make the trip. Some of the already confirmed artists are Jack Mosher, Dan Smith, Chad Koeplinger, Steve Byrne, Sabado, Mario Desa and David Cavalcante, Australians Clint Steele, Rachi Brains, Alison Manners, Owen Williams, Nathan Puata, Brett Hayes,…
