The amazingly talented Mike Moses from Thicker Than Water tattoo in New York  posted some info via his Instagram account today about a pre-sale of a very limited run of prints that went online around 9am this morning, and sold out almost instantly. After almost wetting myself, I got my hands onto one of only 10 of these prints titled “Glimmerhead”. For more of Mikes work, check out www.thedrowntown.com Tattoos by Mike Moses

The trailer has been released for VBS.TV’s next three part series which will profile Mike Rubendall, operator of Kings Avenue Tattoo in New York City. Mike’s reputation among his peers is second to none, pushing a very distinct blend of his own with a heavy influence from traditional Japanese reference. He has concreted his name as one of America’s great tattoo artists with a work ethic and attitude to match, and this will be a very interesting series to watch. Check out the video below, or visit the Kings Avenue site for a look at his, and the studios work. Part 1 airs on Wednesday, October 5th.

After a busy weekend at the Melbourne Tattoo & Body Art Expo, we are glad to see TDU issue 79 on the shelves this week! It was a fun issue to see come to life, and we have jammed a whole lot of good stuff in there. With the lovely Anna Day from Westside Tattoo on the cover, it’s my favorite cover to date! We also have a couple of great studio features with Westside Tattoo from Brisbane, and Melbourne’s amazing Chapel Tattoo Rhys Gordon takes us on a very personal journey into the heart of Thailand’s traditions in the ancient process of Sak Yant tattooing And we celebrate one of our favorite artists 10 year anniversary as a tattooer with the talented Alison Manners Plus a whole lot more! Go grab yourself a copy, and thank you for your support!
