Gasoline are a Brisbane 3 piece with a sound reminiscent of a 50’s Rockabilly band, but with a harder punk rock edge. Forming in 1998 with Paul Gaydon on Guitar /lead vocals & Wayne Walker on Double Bass/vocals as a rockabilly cover band, Gasoline have since progressed to writing and performing originals and adding drummer; Christian Jones to form an exciting mix of 50’s rockabilly, 60’s garage and 70’s punk rock. They are currently writing new songs with the plan of releasing an album some time this year and will be touring the East Coast around April so keep an eye out! I caught up with the guys at Rick’s Cafe in Brisbane to ask them about the ink that has obviously had the same influences as their music.
